Their motto is "you get YOUR meat"....well I didn't get my meat back...and almost didnt get my $65 deposit back. My deer meat was carelessly given away to someone else. I harvested a young healthy tender doe and field dressed her, quartered her and cleaned her and spent alot of time cleaning the excess fat off the meat and draining the blood out of the meat over an 8 day period. I was called Dec the 1st saying it was ready for pick up. Went to pick it up on Dec the 6th. The guy who was helping me was drinking beer, couldn't find my paperwork and seemed disorganized and confused...he even went back to the freezer and couldn't find my meat. I waited 45 min for them to finally find my paperwork and it happened to be in the picked up stack. They wanted to give me some random deer meat and still charge me for the remaining balance due. I asked for a refund of my deposit and they would not give it to me. So now I'm out my deer meat and my $65 deposit. My dad went up their next day Dec 7th and they were still not willing to give the deposit back. They finally did give the $65 deposit back but offered nothing else. You would think they would be willing to process your next deer free of charge for such a major mistake. I'm just thankful my family wasn't dependending on that deer meat to survive and eat like some families are. I hope whomever they gave it to was indeed trying to feed and provide for their family...because that would truly make me feel better about the situation.

I think they need to make some administrative adjustments to their pick up policies...if your required to have a tag with your deer meat when dropped off then why not require hunting license or drivers license verification at pick up.
